Depop Experience

Top Seller Program

In March of 2024 I was admitted into the Depop Top Seller program. I gained admittance to the program by meeting their criteria of earning more than $1000 dollars a month for four consecutive months, maintaining an average rating of at least 4.5 stars, shipping 90% of your items within 5 days, and maintaining a refund rate of less than 5% of sales. I consider the moment when I joined the program to be a key turning point in my career journey. This gave me the confidence boost I needed to quit my retail job and start selling vintage full time. Admittance to the program gave me a verified profile, expedited payouts, access to a private forum of other top sellers, and access to exclusive data from depop. From December of 2019 to March of 2024 I made 474 sales on Depop. From March of 2024 to July of 2025 (when I’m writing this) I have made an additional 1,365 sales through the app. I will always be grateful to Depop for giving me a platform to discover my passion for vintage clothing!

Depop Campus Manger

During the summer of 2024, I saw a post in the Depop Top Seller’s forum about the Depop Campus Manger position and decided to apply as I was a rising senior at Temple University at the time. After an interview, I found out that I had been accepted into the program for the fall of 2024! As Campus Manger it was my job to organize and host events on campus promoting Depop and their mission, distribute Depop merch to students, provide information on our campus culture to Depop corporate through their weekly Student Culture Panel, and attend weekly meetings with my supervisor. I organized events such as an educational panel for beginners on how to sell on the app with Temple’s Fashion & Business Professional Organization, an upcycling workshop where students transformed pieces they didn’t wear enough into new and exciting pieces, a question and answer panel at the Entrepreneurial Student Association about maintaining a side hustle as a full time student, and a vintage clothing flea market complete with live DJ sets! I continued my position for the Spring 2025 semester along with my new co-campus manager Graeme who will be taking over the program for me in the 2025-2026 school year. My proudest moment as Campus Manger was when Graeme and I won the Earth Month Event Spotlight for our vintage flea market that had over 1,500+ attendees and 20 vendors. I am proud to have established this program on Temple’s campus and I am excited to continue to watch it grow now that I have graduated!
